A) The first and most important part of your profile is selecting the proper PROFILE LEVEL, so that you appear in proper search criteria.
YOUTH – You are in grade 1 to 8.
HIGH SCHOOL – You are in grade 9 to 12, and either play for a hockey academy, prep school, high school team or a travel, club hockey team. You will have the option to input two teams if you happen to play for both your high school and club team.
UNIVERSITY – You have graduated high school and are currently attending a University or College.
PROFESSIONAL – You have graduated University and are either playing or looking to play professionally or overseas.
Coaches: This is the level of the team that you coach.
Businesses: This does not apply to you.
B) The next important part of the Players profile is selecting ‘YOUR INTERESTS’ on where you are looking to play next. For example, you are a university student looking to play overseas once you graduate. Coaches will be able to search and discover your interest to play overseas as long as you have selected that as one of your ‘Interested In’ options.
C) Now it’s on to the fun stuff! Go through the rest of the profile questions, being as thorough as possible. Give players/coaches the opportunity to get to know you through your current team info, player stats/coaching stats, academic information, and provide them with a schedule of your upcoming games where they can scout you.
D) And lastly, be sure to fill out the CONTACT section so that prospective players, coaches and businesses can get in touch with you and/or your parents.
Always remember to click “Update Profile” at the bottom of the page after you have filled out all of your information. You can then view and edit your profile at any time.
Have fun and good luck!
