YOUR ACCOUNT

I didn’t receive the email to verify my account. What do I do now?
Did you check your SPAM folder? If you have and you still haven’t received your account verification email, please contact us at support@whlprofile.com

How do I change my password?
Click on “Account” and then click “Change Password”.

How do I change my email address?
Click on “Account“. Where it says “E-mail Address”, simply type in the new email address you wish to use and hit “Update Account”.

How do I make my account only visible to me?
Click on “Account” and then click on “Privacy”. Under “Profile Privacy” you can select either “Everyone” or “Only Me”. Keep in mind, if you select “Only Me”, no one will be able to view your profile.

How do I “hide” my profile from the search directory?
Click on “Account” and then click on “Privacy”. Under “Hide my Profile from Directory?” you can select either “No” or “Yes”. Once you’ve made your selection, hit “Update Privacy”.

What is the difference between my profile privacy and the directory?
Your Profile Privacy allows you to hide ALL of your information from both Players and Coaches once they are logged in. With the Directory, unless you hide your profile, the general public is able to search for your profile.

What information can the public see if they search for my profile and I have NOT hidden my profile from the directory?
PLAYERS/COACHES/BUSINESSES: The public will be able to see your name and headshot picture.

How do I delete my account?
We would hate to see you go, but if you must… Click on “Account” and then select “Delete Account”.

YOUR PROFILE

PLAYER; How do I know which Profile Level I am?
YOUTH: You are in grade 1 to 8.
HIGH SCHOOL: You are in grade 9 to 12, and either play for a hockey academy, prep school, high school team or a travel, club hockey team. You will have the option to input two teams if you happen to play for both your high school and club team.
UNIVERSITY: You have graduated high school and are currently attending a University or College.
PROFESSIONAL: You have graduated University and are either playing or looking to play professionally or overseas.

COACH; How do I know which Profile Level I am?
YOUTH: You coach a team ranging from Initiation to Juniors (Canada), or 8U to 19U (USA).
HIGH SCHOOL: You coach a team at an academy, prep school or high school.
UNIVERSITY: You coach a team that is a part of a public or private University/College.
PROFESSIONAL: You coach a team of elite players at the highest level in your Country.

How do I edit my profile?
Hover over “Account” in top right corner of the website. In the drop down, click on “Edit My Profile”. You will then be taken to your Profile page where you can begin editing your information.

How do I upload or remove a photo?
Go to “Edit Profile”. Hover over the background image or headshot image and simply click. A box will pop up. Select “Change Photo” and upload your new photo.

How do I upload or remove a video?
When in “Edit Profile” setting, scroll down to VIDEO and simply copy and paste your YouTube link to add a video, or remove the YouTube link to delete a video. Remember to hit “Update Profile” to save your changes.

Can I use something other then YouTube to share videos?
No. Our database only accepts YouTube videos at this point.

Having issues with your YouTube videos not playing?
Go to YouTube, click Share, and copy the link that is provided in the pop-up. Example: (https://youtu.be/ue041B5uPmk)

TEAMS

How do I create a team?
Hover over “Browse Profiles” and click on Teams. Scroll down to the bottom. Click on the “CREATE TEAM” button and fill in the necessary information.

I created a team, but when I search for it, I can’t find it?
Sit tight. One of our team members is currently reviewing your teams submission. As soon as we verify the information and approve it, your team will be published to the website.

How do I edit a team?
If you would like to submit any edits to the information we have posted on a team, please email us at support@whlprofile.com

PLAYERS

What can a Coach and Business see if they have access to my profile?
A Coach and Business can view ALL of your information. If you do not want this, you must set your Profile Privacy to “Only Me”.

What can a Player see if they have access to my profile?
For any Player who is logged in, they can view all of your information except your Contact Info, Academic Info, Date of Birth, Weight, Home town, and Letters of Recommendation.

COACHES

What can a Player, Coach, and Business see if they have access to my profile?
A Player, Coach, and Business can view ALL of your information, except your date of birth. If you do not want anyone to view your information, you must set your Profile Privacy to “Only Me”.

BUSINESSES

What can a Player, Coach, and other Business see if they have access to my profile?
A Player, Coach, and other Businesses can view ALL of your information. If you do not want anyone to view your information, you must set your Profile Privacy to “Only Me”.

SEARCH

Do I have to have an account to search your database?
No, but you will be limited with the amount of information about a Player, Coach, Team, and Business that you can view. To gain full access, create an account HERE

How do I search for Players?
Hover over “Create/Browse Profiles” and click on “Browse Profiles”. Under “Players” click on “Browse Players”. Fill in the appropriate fields and then hit SEARCH.

How do I search for Coaches?
Hover over “Create/Browse Profiles” and click on “Browse Profiles”. Under “Coaches” click on “Browse Coaches”. Fill in the appropriate fields and then hit SEARCH.

How do I search for Teams?
Hover over “Create/Browse Profiles” and click on “Browse Profiles”. Under “Teams” click on “Browse Teams”. Fill in the appropriate fields and then hit SEARCH.

How do I search for Businesses?
Hover over “Create/Browse Profiles” and click on “Browse Profiles”. Under “Businesses” click on “Browse Businesses”. Fill in the appropriate fields and then hit SEARCH.

JOBS

How do I search for job or playing opportunities?
Click on “JOBS” in the navigation bar. Select “VIEW ALL JOBS”. You can now search based on keywords, location, or categories.

How do I post a job opportunity?
Click on “JOBS” in the navigation bar. Click on “POST A JOB”. Fill in the necesary information. Hit “PREVIEW” to review your posting. When satisfied, hit “SUBMIT LISTING”.

How do I know if I should post a “Job” or a “Playing Opportunity”?
JOB: A paid position of regular employment.
PLAYING OPPORTUNITY: A team is in need of a player to fill their roster.

How will I be notified when a job or playing opportunity I’m looking for becomes available?
Hover over “MY ACCOUNT” and select “MY JOBS”. Click on “ADD ALERT” and then select the criteria of the job/playing opportunity that you would like to be notified about.

DRILLS

How do I find all of the drills in your database?
Click on “DRILLS” in the navigation bar. Select “VIEW ALL DRILLS”.

How do I search for a specific drill?
Click on “DRILLS” in the navigation bar. Select “VIEW ALL DRILLS”. With each drill, there are tags associated. Click on any given tag and you will be redirected to a new page with all of the drills using that same tag. Examples of tags are: Small Area Games, Shooting, 2v1, Face-offs, etc.

How do I post a drill?
Click on “DRILLS” in the navigation bar. Select “ADD A DRILL”. You will be sent to a page that will ask you to fill out necessary information for the drill. Be sure to include any tags that are relevant to your drill. Once completed, hit “SAVE DRILL”.

How do I delete a drill?
Please email support@whlprofile.com and request to delete your drill.
